2025 INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGIC PLANNING SESSION

THEME: SPEEDING UP INCLUSIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH SECTOR DEPARTMENTS AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS TO CREATE JOBS WITHIN NGQUSHWA JURISDICTION.

Ngqushwa Local Municipality is holding an Institutional Strategic Planning session in Port Alfred from today until Thursday.

The session serves as a platform for the Municipality, Sector Departments, Private Entities, and Labour components to engage in-depth with discussions on the municipality’s vision, mission, and objectives.

Key focus areas of the session include:
Reviewing current strategies to ensure the municipality remains relevant and responsive to community and stakeholder needs.
Reflecting on recent developments and achievements.
Drafting a roadmap to achieve strategic objectives.
Strengthening the existing social contract with communities.
Strengthening the alignment of municipal planning with Vision 2030, SONA, SOPA.

Furthermore, the session aims to also report the performance of the municipalility for the past three years financial years along with mid term review of the current financial year.

The Amathole District Mayor, Cllr Anele Ntsangani attended the session and encouraged Councillors and management to keep up the good work, citing the prospects of potential growth in the future Local Economic Development of Ngqushwa, the district and Provincial government.
